STEFANIE GÖTZKY
ARTIST
Artist Profile: Bridging Canvas and Textile
My artistic journey is defined by the fusion of classical painting and modern, tactile forms of expression. I studied at the Akademie für Malerei Berlin, completing my tenure in December 2017 as a Master Student under Andreas Amrhein.
Current Focus and Techniques
While painting on canvas remains the foundation of my practice, I am currently expanding my portfolio through textile arts. Utilizing the tufting technique, I create intricate wall rugs that translate my painterly vision into three-dimensional, textured spaces.
Inspiration and Media
My aesthetic sensibility is deeply rooted in Bauhaus art and architecture, drawing on its principles of structural clarity and functional beauty. This influence extends beyond physical media into digital storytelling; I have notably created stop-motion animations for acclaimed artists such as MonoNeon and Madsiusovanda.
